Florence, most famous city of Tuscany Region, birthplace of the Renaissance, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. The city is renowned for its culture, art, architecture and monuments.

With this tour we’ll visit the some “less known” (but not less important) monuments of Florence; we’ll start with the “oltrarno”, the other side of the Arno River (South side), to visit Pitti Palace, Medici family residence combined with gardens and a beautiful art gallery, lavish rooms and views; then we’ll continue our tour with a visit to the Carmine Church and its famous Brancacci Chapel frescoed by Masaccio, with a perfect application of new rules of perspective, studied by all major artists of the 15th Century including Michelangelo; after lunch in a typical restaurant and a walk across the Old Bridge, Piazza Signoria and Piazza Duomo, we’ll visit Palazzo Medici Riccardi, masterpiece of Renaissence architecture designed by Michelozzo for the first branch of the Medici Family; We’ll then walk to the nearby San Lorenzo Church, designed by Brunelleschi in the early 15th Century, where the Medici’s were baptized, married, and burried, we’ll visit, among other monuments, the library and tombs made by Michelangelo.
